Hi everyone, my names Anastasia Bradburn. I am currently a senior at Concordia University at Austin, where I study Business Administration with a concentration in Global Healthcare Management and Policy, and a minor in Communication. I truly fell in love with all thing’s healthcare, having served in the US Navy for 5 years as a Hospital Corpsman. I was able to learn so much and help so many people, that I knew healthcare was my passion. I also have worked with another local non-profit, which has allowed me to gain experience in seeing the bigger picture. This semester I am fortunate enough to intern at Austin Smiles, where I get to apply my previous experience, as well as gain so much more experience through the staff and donors. Austin Smiles has allowed me to work alongside what I love and know best, healthcare and non-profits with a great mission.
This semester I am getting to assist in many different tasks, one being the upcoming Shoot for a Smile event on October 30th. This event is a HUGE deal for us here, as all the money raised will allow our medical team to travel on 3 medical missions trips this coming year for children in Latin America needing cleft lip and palate related surgeries, as well as allow us to provide local social emotional support to over 800 children and families at Dell Children’s.
This year our event will be held on October 30th, 2020 in Dripping Springs. We are very blessed for the donations we have received thus far and are continuing to seek more donations and sponsors to reach our goal.
