Our Mission
Austin Smiles – The Austin Plastic Surgery Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide sustainable surgical and post-surgical care to children born with cleft lip and cleft palate both in Central Texas and Latin America.
1 in 700 children are born with a cleft lip or palate
$250 covers the cost of one life-changing surgery
150 volunteers annually will change a child’s life forever
Since 1987 Austin Smiles has provided life-changing services to children born with cleft lip and palate
Children with cleft lip and palate often face one or more health and developmental complications without proper treatment. These complications include difficulties in feeding, speech, breathing, and hearing as well as compromised oral health and frequent ear infections. Austin Smiles believes every child born with a cleft lip or palate deserves access to life-changing care.

Back to School 2026
Our Back to School provides Central Texas children & teens undergoing cleft lip and palate treatment the opportunity to spend quality time with other families facing similar challenges. Kicking off the school year!
