On Sunday, 12-year-old Flor Lopez fights through tears while she and her mother, Esmerelda, listen to doctors explain the Abbe flap procedure that she will undergo in the coming days.
At 9:30 Tuesday morning, Flor entered the triage room to have her vitals checked and her “Before” picture taken. After today’s surgery, performed by Dr. David Wainwright, Flor might more eagerly wait for her “After” picture.
