In OR2 on Monday afternoon, CRNA Dan Ernst and Dr. Syboney Zapata prepare for surgery on 10-month-old Elva Barrera. After Dr. Zapata placed tubes in Elva’s ears, which would drain fluid and improve hearing, Dr. Wilder and his team performed a unilateral cleft lip repair.
