Creating Smiles, Improving Lives

Day 6 – Seeing Double

By Suzanne Chandler. Meet 37 year old Jennifer and Kimberly Zachary PACU nurses. They have been on five Mission trips. Three were in El Salvador and Two in Guatemala. They were recruited by friends to participate in the Austin Smiles Mission. Guess what they are hooked! This year is an extra special blessing as they are able to bring their mom Brenda Zachary. Brenda is their inspiration she is also a nurse. She has an associates degree from Temple college and has worked nearly 40 years as a pediatric home health nurse.

Both Jennifer and Kimberly attended UT Austin for their undergraduate degree. Jennifer has gone on to get her masters at UT Health in San Antonio and in now a nurse practitioner at Radiclinic. Kimberly has just finished her masters degree from UT Arlington. She will sit for her NP exam next month. Kim works at Dell Children’s.
Neurology is their expertise. They enjoy traveling and being with friends and family but most of all their passion is Austin Smiles Mission.

Look at their tender soothing touch which makes each child feel safe and comfortable in the recovery phase! Thanks for all you do Ladies! Fantastic Job!
