On Sunday morning, six-year-old Gerson Mendoza, of Chimeltenango, Guatemala, shares a laugh with Austin Smiles volunteer Stephanie Ashby and a couple of stuffed pals. An outgoing boy with a frequent smile, Gerson will undergo a frenuloplasty in the coming days.
