Community Engagement Director

Kathy has worked with various nonprofits across the Austin community. Her most notable work was with Lirios Pediatrics, where she supported the clinic in building its brand through social media and community outreach. It was during this time that Kathy first encountered Austin Smiles at a Preventative Dental Day that provided free teeth cleanings for children who are uninsured.

She comes to us from the National Kidney Foundation, where she led fundraising efforts and community engagement initiatives in support of individuals and families affected by kidney disease.

Kathy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BSA in Neuroscience and a minor in Health Communications. She brings a strong foundation in science-based communication and a passion for mission-driven work that strengthens community connections and advances health equity. She is excited to be a part of an inspiring team and look forward to continuing the important work for those in need.
