Mahlon Kerr, MD.

After graduating from the University of Oregon with a bachelor of science in biology, Dr. Kerr went to Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, where he earned his medical degree. Following a general surgery internship at the University Of Nevada in Las Vegas, he completed 5 years of combined residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He has received more than a dozen honors and awards from medical societies and organizations and been instrumental in a number of medical studies.
Together with his wife Ashley he opened Synergy Plastic Surgery in 2010. The practice has grown to multiple locations and surgical facilities throughout the greater Austin area. Dr. Kerr is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, member of multiple local and national plastic surgery societies, and actively teaches medical students though his clinical position with Texas A&M Medical school. Dr. Kerr has a passion for international plastic surgery and has been involved with many cleft trips over the last 15 years. Outside of work he spends time traveling, and puttering around his ranch in Fredericksburg with his lovely wife.
