El Salvador 2020
June 06, 2020 to June 14, 2020

Hospital Militar Central

Due to COVID-19 and the health of our patients and volunteers, our El Salvador 2020 trip has been postponed.

We will be at the Hospital Militar Central tentatively on February 20-27, 2021 in San Salvador. With a team of 30+ volunteers, we will hopefully evaluate an upwards of 80 patients, and perform surgeries on about 50 patients. We are excited to take our 48th trip to El Salvador in our 33-year history.

Guatemala 2019
October 05, 2019 to October 13, 2019

Medical mission in Guatemala, October 5-13 2019 has completed.

Thanks to the support of each volunteer, we traveled to Guatemala to provide free cleft lip/palate surgeries to children in need. We were able to operate 50 children. We accomplished this mission with the help of the Shalom Foundation and look forward to collaborating again next year.

Thanks to the hospital Director, Anesthesiologists, Medical interns, Nurses, Surgical techs, Bed transporters, Pharmacy personnel, and each and every member of the Austin Smiles team which helped coordinate this Trip.

Likewise, a heartfelt THANK YOU to Austin Smiles’ volunteers who wore multiple hats and excelled in delivering high-quality and safe care to the children of Guatemala. At Austin Smiles, we recognize that our mission depends on the hard work and talent of our volunteers, thanks to all of them for transforming the smiles of so many children and families around the world, one surgery at a time.
