I chose to spend my school year with Austin Smiles because its mission of providing accessible surgical and post-surgical care to children in need deeply resonates with me. Growing up in the underserved border community of Eagle Pass, Texas, showed me how meaningful nonprofit support can be for families with limited access to specialized care. As a Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences major and aspiring dentist, I am excited to combine my passions while working with children and serving families.
